The Nexus Event

We’ve only got two more episodes of Loki left, and I have questions. Will we get answers to all of these things, or do they even matter? I mean, probably not, and that’s ok.

On a slight tangent, notice how we haven’t had a Spider-man: No Way Home trailer yet, I’m running with the theory that something in the way Loki wraps up will tie directly into the multiversal weirdness we’re going to get in Spidey, and they can’t release a trailer until after Loki end so as to avoid spoiling “something”.

Because, I think we all agree, that if the multiverse doesn’t already exist — which is up for debate given the TVA haven’t been super trustworthy so far — that Loki is definitely going to do something (probably indirectly) that causes it, right?

Ok, questions.

Where did Loki go when he got poked with the zappy sticky? (yes, it probably has a proper name, don’t care) Is it another planet? An alternate reality? Purgatory? There are more Lokis, but how many more?

What about the others that got zapped? MOBIUS! Where are they? Were they transported to the same place/time/dimension as Loki? What about all the other variants and alternate worlds/timelines the TVA have zapped in their history, do they all still exist as well?

What if the TVA has unknowingly been creating the multiverse by the same means (zapping/erasing) that they thought were preventing it from branching into existence?

Will Kang the Conquerer show up? In the comics he’s directly linked to Gugu’s character (Ravonna Renslayer), and he’s due to appear in Ant-man and the Wasp: Quantumania in a couple of years time, but could we get a tease in Loki — lots of people online had been hoping for that since episode 1, and given they have already cast the character (Jonathan Majors, who was great in Lovecraft Country), it could actually be a chance.

The time-keepers turned out to be robots (honestly, not that surprised – I’d half expected a reveal that Ravonna was actually a time-keeper, maybe she is?), but are the actual “real” time-keepers still out there, or were they all just a construct to keep the TVA peeps inline?

Is Sylvie really “a Loki”, or is she Enchantress like a large portion of the internet believes. Does it even really matter? There is mischief in play regardless. Also, its it weird or hilarious that the one person Loki would fall for is a version of himself?

What actually is the TVA? It’s clearly not what its employees/inhabitants have been led to believe after the revelation that they’re all variants themselves and not created for the “sole purpose of protecting the sacred timeline”.

I had other questions in my head last night when I couldn’t sleep, but now that I’m sitting down and writing this they’re gone. I’ll come back and fill them in if I remember them.

At this point the only “disappointment” (and I use that lightly, because it’s still been very excellent) with Loki is that the premise of the show is really nothing like I was expecting. After the “Loki was D.B. Cooper” tease in the first episode, I had my hopes up that the series would be Loki chasing down versions of himself that had been other historical figures, or involved in/responsible for other historical events.

Think, what if Loki was the second shooter during the JFK assassination, or he was the “Alien” at Area-51, or the reason Emilia Earhart disappeared (better yet, what if Loki was Emilia Earhart). Basically take any weird historical/conspiracy event and drop Loki into it.

Lastly, where do I get myself a Loki variant jacket?
